Inferno Chronicles of Nick Sherrilyn Kenyon Books

I liked we got so much more about Cherise. She finally felt like a fully realized character to me. Before she was always just the overly protective mom. I always felt like she liked making him friendless and outcast. I actually never really liked her very much. It's nice to finally have better context to her motivations and reasons. I'm still not crazy about her, but at least now she's more understandable.

We also get to know more about Adarian. His story was less surprising, but still had some great reveals. His choices definitely make more sense when you get more of his back story.

We get more from Kody as well. Which when this series started I would not have been happy about. But as the series goes on I like her more and more. Even though in this one their relationship gets a little rocky.

Acheron makes an appearance. I don't want to spoil it, but it was good.

Nick's story was still interesting but he really wasn't the star of this one as much as the others. Still a great continuation of the storyline. The ending though was not appreciated. I'm not a fan of cliff hangers. I take a whole star off for cliffhangers I despise them so much. Otherwise this book would have gotten 5 stars.

Inferno Chronicles of Nick Sherrilyn Kenyon Books Reviews

The Chronicles of Nick series would be an enjoyable read for someone who hasn't read the Dark Hunter novels, but such a reader would fail to get most of the context. Ms. Kenyon has managed to make an entire subseries that would be AU fanfiction from anyone but the author herself; this exploration of Nick Gautier and his potential evolution as the Malachi - and the efforts of many to stop or control that evolution - makes more sense to a reader with a thorough understanding of the Dark Hunter world. Inferno in particular is poignant because it explores Nick's understanding of and relationship to Adarian Malachi, his father. Five stars for Inferno, and in my opinion the entire Dark Hunter series as well.
The chronicles of Nick goes into the background of a teenager who has the power to wipe the Earth clean. He's the most powerful demon out there. But, he's a lot different from the other demons that came before him. Instead of growing up hated he is loved by everyone. And that love has kept his power in check. And there are so many others who are hunting him. They want to use his power and control him. Even his girlfriend is supposed to kill him. But, she sees how different he is and is holding back. Even after he has killed her and her family. She is hoping to have a different ending. It is a wild ride. And if you enjoy this book check out the dark hunters. The dark hunter series came first.
Since the first day I picked up a Dark Hunter book I have never been disappointed by the great Sherrilyn Kenyon.

Nick and Kody’s relationship starting out on the fritz greeted us readers on page one. I cannot say that I am surprised by that one because Nick’s confidence level has always been at the dumpster level, so any doubts cast are easily over handled by him; most especially where a beautiful girl is concerned.

I enjoy how SK unfolds her stories like a well wrapped Christmas present. She never leaves a stone unturned, but when she does…it simply means she is saving it for another day…

With such a powerful finale and surprisingly funny end…I am sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the next installment of the Chronicles of Nick!

Recommended Reads Anything Dark-Hunter, Were-Hunter, Dream Hunter and anything by Kinley McGreggor (Sherrilyn Kenyon)
How I missed Nick. This book was worth waiting for. Every scene in that book was absolutely special and hilarious. Lawved the scene when Nick hugged Ash (tears) Nick was truly Ash's best buddy. The ending confused me. Plus, Nick's father Adrian and Cherise scene was sweet as well. I can't believe the great evil Malachi gave his life for Nick. At the end, he did do something worth and good. But now Nick has the all power but it's bound. And he has a slave as well (haha) I can't wait to read the next book. Nick is one wild kid. It would be great seeing what he's gonna do with the wolf. And again, what's with the ending?! I hope it was just one of his silly bad dreams.
I love every part of this world that Sherrilyn has created, from Dark Hunter, Dream Hunter, to Chronicles of Nick. I can't remember ever being disappointed by one of these books. The only disappointing part is that I can't get enough of the story and I now have to wait for the next one. The Chronicles of Nick is very different even though it is very much a part of the Dark Hunter series rather than just a spin off Swiss series. The most obvious difference if that Nicks story is more of a young adult series there is also a lot more humor . It's definitely weird because I'm never sure where we are in the DH time line so your seeing a lot of characters that you know but it seems to be mostly from before we knew them. I would recommend this book/series. For adults my recommendation would be to read the Dark Hunter series which also has a few Dream Hunter books mixed into the reading order and then read the Chronicles of Nick. I would check the authors website for the correct reading order because there are still new DH books coming out along with this series and should read them as they come out to get the most out of the books. As for any young adults the DH books are definitely not appropriate but the Chronicles of Nick can also be enjoyable as a stand alone series
