My Review:
I swear this author just gets better and better. The prose in this novel is gorgeous. I think I could spot M.L. Bushman's writing without knowing he was the author because he has such a distinctive writing voice and I do really like the style to it.

In this novel the hero and the heroine are both quiet people. They flow with the world around them, watching everything, and reacting accordingly. That sense of peacefulness and just existing saturates the pages of this book. Normally M.L. Bushman's books have a lot of action in them that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. Yes, this one has that too, but it had a different feel to it just because the two characters featured in it were so different. I adored this book and these two characters.

Michael is the highest ranking D-boy, or Delta force troop on operational status. He long ago accepted that he would be alone for the long run and would probably die doing his job. But then he meets Claudia, the newest pilot in SOAR. She flies one of the Little Birds and I loved her passion for the helicopters.

I've honestly been waiting for Michael to get a story for several books now and his book so far surpassed my expectations. Claudia...wow...she was PERFECT for him. Only someone who could surpass Major Beale in skills and instinct as both a pilot and a soldier would work as a match for the highest ranking spec ops officer. She stepped up to the job and blew me away...but at the same time, she was human, with doubts and second-guesses that made her a great heroine. I loved how impressed Michael was by her at every turn too.

And we have to talk about Michael's trees. After finishing this book, I felt like I had made a trip to the tops of the Sequoia's with them. Wow, the author did an incredible job transporting the reader into his world. Loved, loved, loved Nell and the visuals M.L. Buchman created within her.

I loved this book. Like I said, M.L. Buchman has such a distinctive voice. He takes you into the mission so that you feel like you're right there with the characters. It's an incredible skill. Normally, I am not a reader that likes a lot of description, but this author makes it work and he makes it work beautifully. This entire series has been phenomenal and I while the Major's will always have the favorite spot for me in this series, this one is a VERY close second. Bonus...Major Beale showed up in this with a fun bit of news, too. Tiny squee!

M.L. Buchanan is an exceptional writer of high caliber. I liked the whole theme, of this story. I will recommend this book to friends and family. Alvis
I really was looking forward to Michael's story. While it was a good book, I feel like Michael was cheated out of the story he deserved. I enjoyed Claudia's character but felt that she was shortchanged since Michael's story wasn't the one that he deserved.
Wasted Gibson character on this story. His actions towards the end of the story were not consistent with his character's development through many previous story lines. What a shame, I had really looked forward to his story.
Love the book. I worked my way through many of this authors work to get these characters stories. They were well worth the time invested. I can't say enough about this authors work.
I have waited for Col. Michael Gibson's story to be told...and I am very pleased at the result in "Bring On The Dusk".

The fact that Mr. Buchman created Claudia Casperson, a Captain in the 5D Division of the 160th SOARa, who matches Emily Beale in talent, beauty, intelligence and compassion...was pure genius on his part. Because, Michael deserves such a woman.

After all, the man is a Delta Warrior...at the tip of the spear...or atop a Titan...he is a hero. And just like the real Delta Warriors and Night Stalkers in service to the United States...they deserve love, respect, gratitude and honor.

M.L. Buchman does that with his books...along with some factual accuracy...and that's one of the things that makes them a pleasure to read.
This book was so good and Buchman has done it again. Each book just keeps getting better. Colonel Michael Gibson and Claudia were a perfect match. They both could read each other and were having a hard time keeping away from each other. This series is so awesome, I guess it could stand alone but you would be missing so much because characters from previous books are in each of them. If you start from the beginning make sure you get the full one because he took some side trips on some civilians which I wasn't interested in. I wanted strictly the Military ones so read the description first. He has another series and 2 of the main characters that started in The Night Stalkers in bk 1 thru 4 are in the new series Firehawks also good.
This was the first book I've read in the Night Stalkers Series. I am hooked. I was impressed with the amount of detail the author incorporated into the story. My mind's eye clearly loved seeing the world through the words of this story. I was also very appreciative of the amount of feeling and description went into defining the two main characters. Colonel, Delta Force Michael Gibson, a pillar of strength and character, the best of the best of the military world. Claudia Casperson, Captain, SOAR - 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne). Former Marine, she has trained hard and trained well and is the best of the best of female helo pilots. Two kindred spirits, they click together, they compliment each other perfectly. They have a similar way of thinking and about problem solving. They are both emotionally bound to the land they grew up in as children.

I became engrossed in this story very quickly and I swear my bed was actually rolling like the waves in the ocean a few times. I could see the stars twinkling on the ceiling and my stomach did a few flips with Claudia's antics when learning how to "bat hang." I also loved the entire cast of characters in the story. Together they tell a story of camaraderie and honor and friendship.

I am looking forward to reading more of the Night Stalker series. I'm now quite interested in learning about everyone's specific roles and lives.
